Polaris 3900 Sport Gearbox Assembly (39-200)
The gearbox assembly is manufactured by Polaris for the 3900 Sport model cleaner. It is made from the same high-quality materials used for the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product that you can trust.
This gearbox was designed to work in correlation with a few other components that give it the power and ability to move along and clean the surface of your pool. This assembly sits in-between the frame and bottom housing with the drive sprocket end placed in the middle of the wheel sprockets. So, when it rotates it spins these sprockets as well via the chain, turning the wheels and moving the cleaner around the pools surface fast and efficiently.
This part is black and again is made up of several other parts and attaches itself to the bottom of the frame. One great troubleshooting tip if the cleaner is no longer operating correctly or moving, could be the result of an internal failure in the gearbox assembly. This normally occurs over an extended length of time and use of the cleaner.
