The debris bag collar kit is a replacement part made by Pentair. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.
This collar was made for the debris bag and its job is to secure the bag to the cleaner as it operates, without it, you would not be able to safely secure the bag to the cleaner making it ineffective in its cleaning efforts. So, a tab insert was created in the collar so that way you can quickly release the bag from the cleaner with the insert making it convenient and hassle-free for either maintenance or disposal of its contents for the next round of cleaning.
This part Is black to match the color design of the bag and cleaner itself while having a large opening on one side for the quick-release tab. These parts can wear and become damaged or even lost over time, but we sell them separately here on our site should you ever encounter these specific situations.
