Polaris Vac-Sweep 180 Screw, #10 x 1/2" SS Pan Head, Self-tap (A30)
The screw (pan head/self-tap) is a replacement part made by Polaris.
This screw is designed specifically to drill their own holes when they’re screwed into materials such as wood, plastic, and metal. But in this case, it will be working with plastic.
This screw is metallic and is used for two parts on the cleaner yet can be found in the same location. Those parts are the turbine shaft shield and the turbine cover w/elbow. Both parts play a vital role in the success of this cleaner’s ability to suck and pull dirt, debris, and other forms of mulch off your pool's surface. They are simple and easy to remove and replace if needed.
Note: Never use a power drill when installing these screws as over-torquing them can cause the plastic to split or rupture.
