What's in the Box: Pentair Lil' Shark Above Ground Pool Cleaner
Welcome to another Fact Friday at ePoolSupply! Each week we like to discuss helpful tips and tricks regarding the pool industry. Today we will be discussing the Pentair Lil' Shark Above Ground Suction Side Pool Cleaner and the items included in the product packaging. Owning a pool cleaner can be quite a confusing adventure but it helps to have someone there by your side guiding you through each step of the process. Let's dive in!
How the Lil Shark Pool Vacuum Works
The Pentair Lil’ Shark features a replaceable shark fin, teeth and everything you’d expect with a little shark swimming around cleaning your pool. This cleaner has an open mouth port with an oscillator and agitator that moves this cleaner around the pool. This same function combined with the multiple brushes present around the bottom rim of the cleaner is what knocks out dirt and debris in the pool itself. The agitation combined with the suction allows for easy, simple removal of debris from the pool once picked up by the cleaner.
Pentair Lil Shark Cleaner Parts
Fewer moving parts means less wear and fewer parts that will need to be replaced. While there are replacement parts for everything needed for this cleaner, not much can actually go wrong with this simple design. This above ground suction cleaner has an included vacuum regulator that attaches to the suction fitting in the side of the pool. This feature allows inline suction regulation for more control of the cleaning and additional maneuverability. Also included is a reducer cone. The cone is made to allow the cleaner to plug straight into the skimmer with no modifications. An inch-and-a-half or two-inch piping is required and this cone accepts both diameters.
On top of the cleaner, there is a hose connection swivel that aids the hoses and the cleaner in freely maneuvering around the pool. Another cool option with this swivel is the included Unidapt Handle. The handle connects directly to a pool pole for manual brushing and cleaning for hard to reach areas. The Unidapt is an amazing feature to have for just spot cleaning for a weekend in the pool, or for that one little spot of dirt the cleaner doesn’t seem to reach on it’s own. Grey thirty two - thirty six inch length hoses are standard with the Lil’ shark. Twelve hoses come factory standard but less may be used depending on the size of the pool. There is plenty of information provided in the manual in order to determine the correct amount of hoses needed.
