What's Up Wednesday: A&A Manufacturing Water Actuator Valve Updated to Snap-In T-Valves!
A&A Manufacturing Water Actuator Valve Updated to Snap-In T-Valves
Hello again! Every Wednesday here at Poolinfloor.com we like to inform our customers of the newest updates in the swimming pool industry. Whether it be a simple "who's who" or maybe even a recent update to equipment. This week we'll be talking about the most recent A&A Manufacturing Top Feed Valve Overhaul. A&A has done away with the older glue-in t-valves to introduce snap-in flaps as the default on all new A&A Top Feed Valves. Below you will find our list of major (and some minor) differences.
If you are familiar with the older style A&A Top Feed Valves, you'll remember the sheer terror involved with trying to replace any of the glue-in t-valves. The valves themselves revolutionized the pool industry as one of the easiest Infloor Cleaning Systems to diagnose and operate. The units were originally outfitted with T-Valves which required a special two-part plastic welder to adhere the flaps to the housing as shown in our video linked below. The problem is that if the valve is not installed exactly level, the water will seep through the other ports causing a lack of pressure required to operate the system efficiently. Another big issue with the glue-in flaps is that it makes winterizing a miserable process. Every year you'd have to chip out the flaps and re-glue them once the season is over. Overall the glue-in flaps cause more headaches than they help.
With the introduction of the snap-in T-Valves, your worries should disappear faster than the debris in your pool. Using the same basic design, A&A has simplified pool cleaning and valve maintenance. The snap-in t-valve (available in 1.5" or 2") rests on a steel rod that runs the length of the flap. This steel rod "snaps" into the housing easily without having to secure it with glue or using tricky elevation tools. As far as installation & removal goes, the job is a breeze with the A&A T-Valve Installation & Removal Tool which acts as a lever to pry the flaps from their housing. This allows you to have more time to enjoy the pool rather than spending your time fixing it.
All in all, we believe this upgrade will change the entire pool cleaning industry by giving customers the confidence to know they can repair their unit without having to hire anybody, or incur any additional costs associated with the repair.
