It’s that time again, FACT FRIDAYS! We here at Poolinfloor.com like to make Fridays full of facts! This Friday, 6-27-2019, we want to hit you with the facts about Caretaker cleaning head nozzle inserts. Caretaker currently uses a total of 5 different size nozzles. Each nozzle has its own benefits and purpose. Please check out all the details on each nozzle below, along recommendation on where and how to install these inserts. Every nozzle can be purchased from Poolinfloor as a single nozzle or as a 25-pack. Each nozzle is clear, “frost like”, in color and they are extremely easy to install inside your Caretaker heads. Simply push one side of the insert into the hole on your Caretaker pop-up head and wait until you hear a “click”. The nozzle will sit flush to the face of your pop-up head when installed correctly. We have also included links to each nozzle insert at the bottom of this blog.

The first nozzle we would like to discuss is the Standard size nozzle. This is the most popular nozzle and the most commonly used insert. Under ideal operating conditions, this nozzle has an estimated cleaning radius of roughly five feet at sixteen gallons per minute. These numbers can change with increased flow. The Caretaker Standard Nozzle Insert is designed to provide optimal cleaning power for heads installed mainly in the floor of your pool. They also work extremely well on large steps (Typically bottom steps or Baja style steps). We also always recommend the Caretaker Standard Nozzle to be installed in Spas with few pop-up heads.

One HUGE disclaimer we like to disclose to our customers is that once any of the nozzle inserts are installed in your pop-up heads, they are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to remove from the head. They are designed to clip into your pop-up head and clip into the internals. This makes removal extremely difficult without causing damage to the head. We also ask that you verify it is the correct nozzle you need for your application before installation. You can always call us or email us HEREwith any other questions or concerns.
