About The Product
The side covers kit (360234) are replacement parts that are made by Pentair. This makes them genuine OEM parts that all our customers can trust. These covers are designed to be an extra layer of protective covering for the internals of the cleaner as the body is broken up into a few different pieces, so this adds another layer of cover for the Racer. These parts also have openings in their center so that way the small wheels can be connected to the backside of the cleaner and be able to rotate freely. These parts are gray to match the color design of this pressure cleaner and are also labeled as to which side each piece should be installed. This is accomplished with the help of a couple of screws and a Phillips head screwdriver, as you do not want to use a drill as it can over-torque these screws and damage the side covers and other surrounding plastic parts.
How To Remove and Replace
Before you are able to remove the side covers, you need to remove the wheels and the bottom plate. The covers will be located by each of the rear tires. There are two screws you will need to remove, if you flip the cleaner upside down you will see the first one. The other screw is directly in the frame and the screw hole would only be visible when the wheel is completely off. To remove the screws you will need a Phillips head screwdriver. Once you removed the screws, you can go ahead and take the sides off. Be careful to not yank them off so you don't break anything, you will need to kind of wiggle it around a little bit. To install a new one, make sure you are feeding the tubes back into the frame correctly. That way when you put the screws back in, everything will line up properly.
