Pentair Racer / Racer LS Rubber Button - Quick Fix

Welcome back, fellow ePoolSupply supporters and followers! For today's blog, I will be going over how to remove and replace the Pentair Racer rubber button. I will also be going over a little bit about the product and have added a picture so you know exactly what you are looking at. I have also added a YouTube video our pool professional has made. In this video, he will show you exactly what to do and give you some tips. Please keep reading to learn how to do this quick fix! 

About The Product 

The rubber button kit (360258) is a replacement part that was made by Pentair. Making this a genuine OEM product. This button was built to be a part of the vacuum tube quick release tab which is the unit that releases the debris bag from the cleaner so that way its contents can be disposed of, created to be quick and efficient so that way you can get the Racer and Racer LS back into the pool and to their cleaning prowess. This part is black and made from a strong rubber composite that is soft to the touch while also having the Pentair logo in its center making it very easy to identify. This part, however, can wear, deteriorate, or become lost over time so it may need to be replaced.

How To Remove and Replace 

The first thing to do is to remove the bag and this will give you access to just the main tube. Once that is done, the button tends to just fall out but if it does not you can just peel it right off. To replace the button, you will notice there are two little prongs on the back. The prongs will pressure fit into the main tube. You will not need any glue or any type of adhesive. Just push the button back in and that is all needed to be done for the button.
