Although they are known best by the public for their line of pool pumps, filters, and other various forms of pool equipment, they do manufacture a competitive line of pool cleaners as well! For today's blog we are going to go over one of the most famously known, the Kreepy Krauly Kruiser! 

Brief History of the Kreepy Krauly Series Line: 

The first Kreepy Krauly pool cleaner was invented in the year 1974 by a gentleman named Ferdinand Chauvier. Ferdinand was a hydraulic engineer from South Africa and dabbled in the pool industry whenever possible. The product became very popular in the state of Florida during the 80's when the Kreepy Krauly sponsored race car won the Daytona 24 race in 1984.

Soon after that in 1999, it was purchased by Pac-Fab (A leader in the pool industry) and then later by Pentair. They then decided to expand the product line beyond the traditional Kreepy Krauly suction-side pool cleaner and transform it into the series name it is today. During the transition time Pentair decided to take this iconic pool cleaner and add performance features that made the Kreepy Krauly Kruiser (Yes, a totally different cleaner!). This cleaner is relentless in its ability to clean dirt and debris, while staying dependable and affordable for all pool owners.

Kreepy Krauly Kruiser Warranty

This cleaner comes with a standard Two-year warranty provided by Pentair which is awesome! However, the Suction Seal, Foot Pad, Wings, Bumper Strap, and Seal Flaps are only covered by a One-year warranty. The reason for this limited portion of the warranty is because they are considered wear and tear items.

Functionality & Parts

The Kreepy Krauly Kruiser works for all in-ground pools. This includes all surfaces like Pebble Tec and Vinyl. The Foot Pad helps prevent wear and tear to these surfaces along with the Bumpers that run up and down the body of the cleaner. It also comes with a Pleated Seal that provides ultimate suction and a wide cleaning radius. The new and improved Silent Flapper reduces the noise and clanging commonly produced by this style of suction cleaners. As always, Pentair includes an accessory package that comes with all the items needed to connect to a skimmer if needed. The final part included in the box will be the Hose Kit. This comes with twelve sections of one-meter hoses that will reach across most pool sizes.
