How to Install Pentair Kreepy Krauly Great White Brush Kit
The Kreepy Krauly Great White suction side cleaner comes equipped with Bristle-Drive Technology which has the strength to loosen up the most stubborn dirt and debris. The powerful vacuum action can sweep away small and even large debris. Due to its programmed steering and 15-inch-wide dirt-cutting path, this cleaner provides a cleaning job that gets done quickly and efficiently. The Great White is best suited for r dish-, incline- and hopper-bottom pools. These cleaners are very specific in how they operate meaning there will need to be adjustments made to your pool equipment and so on to the cleaner for them to properly work.
The lift brush is a replacement part that was made by Pentair. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product. This lift brush is a key component in this suction cleaner’s maneuverability and ability to get out of any trouble spots like corners, steps, drains, and even the walls and waterline. It also helps in the cleaning process as it brushes up the algae and dirt along with the center brush kit and of course the biggest of the bunch, the brush ring kit. This part is white and has black bristles on its end just like the center brush kit does however it is different as there is an elongated piece that runs off its end with a hollow center and that is for the lift brush spring which gives the part the ability to raise and lift after a certain period which rotates the cleaner in order to send it in a different direction. The lifting brush also gets this power of elevation from the idler gears and cam kit.
In order to replace your lift brush, you will need to remove the gear set on the back and this will require two types of screwdrivers, the Phillips, and a flathead. Next to the gear set is a tiny little screw that will need to be removed. Once that screw is undone, the gear set will pull right out. Now that the gear is out you will notice the lift brush is still stuck to a spring. You will flip it back over and decompress the spring. You will take the flathead screwdriver and you will push the spring down while holding the lift brush from the bottom and the spring should pop right out. Now the brush should come out freely. If you are still confused about how to remove it, please watch the video I have attached below.
