A&A Low Profile Complete 6-Port T-Valve Retro-Fit Rebuild Gear Kit - What's in the Box

Welcome back, ePoolSupply supporters! For today's blog, I will review Pentair’s In-Floor, formerly known as A&A low profile complete 6 port t-valve retro fit rebuild gear kit. I will be going over what comes in the bag and a little bit about the overall product. At the bottom of this blog, I have attached a YouTube video our pool professional has made to show you exactly what comes in the bag and he will give you some tips and useful information about the product. About The Product 

This Kit is for a 6-Port Side Feed (low-profile) Pentair In-Floor(A&A) Water Valve that has large Acrylic Balls at the bottom of the water valve. This Kit will be eliminating the acrylic balls and replacing them with T-Valves. We highly recommend that you upgrade your valve with this kit. The gear plate in this kit may differ from the parts you are replacing. The gear plate (cam) will have 10 gears. 

What Comes In The Bag

If you happen to have the old acrylic ball and want to upgrade this kit is a perfect way to do that. This can upgrade the internal part of the valve without having to physically cut the whole thing out and start fresh. One of the first things you will pull out of the bag is the gear assembly and this will have the ten gears on it. The next thing you would pull out is the cam this is what will actually transform your valve into t-flaps if you have the ball valve. This will require a lot less surface area to lift the flaps up. If you look in the bag there will also be the impeller, which will typically have larger fins. You will also see the instructions in the bag and that will tell you how to take the old one out and how to properly replace it. The next thing in the bag is the o-ring which is meant for your lid. You will also get two washers along with the two anti-friction discs and a new center shaft. Another thing that comes in the bag is the t-flaps and they also give you the two-part epoxy. With the t-flaps, you will also receive sandpaper and this is if you need to sand down any of the edges.

In this video, we show you what comes included in the bag when purchasing the A&A Low Profile Complete 6 Port T-Valve Retro-Fit Rebuild Gear Kit (230066). This kit is designed to replace the old Acrylic Ball style Top Feed A&A 6-Port in-floor cleaning valve that has now been discontinued. Now, if you still have the acrylic balls in your valve and they are not damaged in any way and are currently in good shape, A&A makes the Low Profile 6-Port Ball Valve Complete Rebuild Kit (230062) which is a direct replacement for that specific style valve.
